It came in the post this morning, installing now. The map they send is printed on ye olde type paper/card and is probably the best game map I've ever seen.

I haven't even beaten oblivion.... I have it for 360 but I'm gonna buy a used pc version.

I never beat Oblivion or Morrowind, but I still played them for hours and hours and hours.

My comp doesn't meet the minimum reqs =(

I'm listening to the OST via youtube in loops. My brother's currently downloading it on his super mega awesome computer. My laptop won't handle it and in any case I won't have time to play for 8 months or so. The music's what I like the most about a game anyways so I'm cool with that for now.

Yeah. Morrowind, oblivion had awesome music. Really set the mood. Morrowind was an absolutely awesome experience. I never played any elder scrolls game before that though.

My comp is broken sadly :( Only played a bit of Oblivion but I loved Fallout 3 and NV and this is supposed to be along the same gameplay lines right?

Those are some mighty bold claims made by IGN. Best Zelda game ever, without a doubt? Best game on Wii, hands down? A game that will completely revolutionize gaming and motion control? A perfect 10 from IGN? Damn.

I finally just played Twilight Princess because I was waiting for it to come down in price. I might have to pick up Skyward Sword at full price.

I don't even have a Wii but I'm thinking of buying the game to go play at other people's houses. I agree with you that IGN's review seems a little too good to be true but it's also pulling at 95ish rating overall from other sources so nothing to balk at.

I got skyrimnow. playing on hardezt diffikulty. prety fun also drunk

i haven't messed with the difficulty. im going pure mage so i figure higher difficulty just means more waiting around for mana.

My first character I made a khajit and planned on going pure mage, and you are right, the quest to get the dragons claw was really hard because even with the enchanted mage gear that you can pick up in the torturers room you run out of mana pretty fast. unfortunately I also couldn't stand up to two hand wielders even when I equipped heavy armor and a shield. they would two shot me anyway. The khajit start with 20 skill level in the thief skills though so I was able to do well by switching to a bow and kiting when I was low on mana.


I think if you started as an elf or something you would have a much easier time going pure mage on master difficulty because you start with 20s in magic schools.


my second character and now main is an argonian warrior. I wear heavy armor and switch between two handed axe and 1 hand / shield or 1 hand / restoration magic when needed. I'm leveling up those specific skills and this time around is a bit easier becausd I can go toe to toe with hard hitting mobs. zmaster difficulty is still tough though but I love it because it makes enemies require thought and planning to kill instead of just two shotting everything.

I'm now the Arch-mage at the college. After getting the position, i looted everything i could from the building and gained 2.5 levels just doing alchemy and enchanting.

So yea, I'm probably playing it on too easy a difficulty.

This sounds like too much fun. Should I even bother trying to beat oblivion?

killed my 7th dragon.

I'm on my third character. I'm enjoying the game but I felt like I made my characters too broad in terms of perks, so I rerolled again and am finally happy with my Breton. I'm upping my conjuration magic and 1 handed weapons and ripping stuff apart with Bound Sword in 1 hand and whichever spell in the offhand. Bound weapons are awesome because they benefit from weapon specialization perks and also can be improved via conjuration perks. So my summoned one handed sword is currently receiving 40% extra damage from 1 hand perks and also do additional damage thanks to Mystic Binding perk PLUS my bound weapons automatically cast Soul Trap on hit thanks to the SoulStealer perk, which is super neat. I'm currently on my way the College to do some awesome wizard quests.

oh yeah, I also downedthe difficulty because I got tired of being one shot by fireballs or two handedweapons

the first guy i came across in the world was a hunter and i sneak crit'd his dog then killed him with a battleaxe


made a wood elf, gonna use a bow and steal everything that isn't bolted down

I came really close to making a wood elf archer / general sneaky dude but I decided on the Breton Conjurer instead. i'll make a wood elf eventually though. I did a few thieves guild quests on my argonian and they seemed really cool. That was one of the reasons why I rerolled, my argonian had heavy armor and 2hand axe perks but I ended up doing thieves guild quests.


So i'm really really intersted to see how the Daedra play a part in this game, or hope that they do. The loading screens mention each prince and there are is a lot if text about Sheogorath or w/e so i cant wait to see if anything crazy like in morrowind happens. I love morrowind so much simply because of how dark and grotesque everything was. the daedra caves with the blood red glow and the dwemer ruins ... damn that game was awesome. I hope to see at least some more daedric prince appearances.

I'm level 30 on my Breton now. I have perks mainly in Conjuration, Destruction, and One Handed Weapons. I'm The Arch-Mage and I rape stuff either with dual casted destruction magic or dual wielded Bound swords. I also can summon a Daedra Lord which is seriously badass. He cuts people in half. I'm currently pretty high in the Stormcloaks ranks so I think I'm approaching the end of the story line. There is still plenty for me to do though. My gear rules but I'm getting tired of the look of the Arch mage robes so I've been getting my enchanting up so that I can get pretty much the same stats onto any armor I want, which will probably be glass.

I was getting disappointed by the lack of Daedra on Skyrim but I found a really neat quest line given by a Daedra Prince. I'm hoping there is more like it.

If you screen using F12, a little window should pop up when you quit Skyrim.  From there you can upload to Steam and/or open the folder with your screenshots.
