    What's the max units you can have mining gas per refinery?
    Max units per mineral node? 2?
    What's the best way to group medics? Include them in the marine/marauder group or have them in a group on their own?
    also when moving/attacking, how do you position medics?

    max per gas or mineral is 3, although the difference between having 2 and 3 is significantly smaller than the difference between having 1 and 2.
    In other words you nearly always want to have 3 on each gas and 2 on each mineral. If you happen to have more than 2 on each mineral its probably best to expand and move some of the workers to the new expansion.

    I won't answer the other ones because Terran is my weakest race.

    Do you mean medics or medivacs? Medics don't exist in multiplayer.

    Medivacs are substantially faster than M/M and fly, so when moving troops across the map, be careful to not let them get ahead of your ground troops. In combat, you want the medivacs to be protected from ground attacks by positioning them behind your M/M, and strong anti air units (vikings, mutalisks, corruptors, phoenix) have to be taken out quickly with your marines or vikings (if you have them) because they can kill your medivacs super fast.

    What fusion said. If you however mean the medics in the campaign, just group them with your marines.

    Remember: ALWAYS ATTACK MOVE instead of normal moving. (click a, click where you want to go).

    Some other stuff you should always do:
    Always block your ramp - fully with terran, partially if you are protoss (zerg probably shouldn't worry about this one)

    Always use control groups, hotkeys and waypoints for every unit building you have.
    I start with my Nexus on 5, then group any additional Nexuses I build on 5 as well. (using this constantly for chronoboost)
    Then I put my Gateway on 6 and well as any additional Gateways I build
    Then robotics factory or starport on 7 and the other on 8, once again, additional buildings go on the same control number
    I'll then use 1-3 for any units I have and usually keep a probe on 4 to help me build quicker

    A tip for waypoints: You can now set waypoints to units like it War3, just pay attention incase that unit dies.

    For protoss, ALWAYS build a cannon or two protecting your probeline. You'll be counting your blessings when reapers or air show up and start fucking with your shit.

    A last one, unless you are zerg, ALWAYS shift click your workers back to minerals after they build.

    I do all of these things... why am i not pro yet?

    In other news, I played and won my first FFA last night. Was just lucky that they kind of took each other out while I didn't explore or anything and massed units.

    so for Protoss, immortals are the old dragoons right? how do they work, what's the tech?

    EDIT: also what's the deal with invis detectors? overorlds no longer can detect without research? what else has changed with regards to invis?

    immortals look like dragoons. (my info) Their shields are special in that they take 10 damage points each hit (even if the damage is 100000), so they are fairly good tanks.

    overlords need to become overseers to see invis i think. what else sees invis...

    terran: ravens, turrets, orbital command scan
    protoss: cannons, observers
    zerg: overseers, some building which i don't know the name of

    Detection in your worker lines is awesome for every race imo. It helps vs banshees, dark templars and tons of stuff.
    Also about the second one, I actually shift+click my drones back to my worker line as well, to give them a false sense of hope.

    Immortals are not the new dragoons, as they can only attack ground, Immortals are base crackers(seriously they own buildings).

    Stalkers are the new dragoons. With Blink their great for harassment.

    i just had an annoying 1v1 with Protoss (randomed me) vs. terran. he blocked off his entrance and massed thors. so i was stumped so i went carriers and got a mother ship. he took his sweet time so i was able to hold off but i met his group mid map and got wiped out. he had 3 thors left with 1 red and 1 orange with another full hp. i quickly pumped out 1 DT and killed the 3 as they got stuck on my half blocked ramp. the rest of the game i was hitting and running with my rebuilt carrier+mothership fleet. then he had to be gay and hid exps on the expansions that require drop ships. my question is wtf could i have done better? what rapes thors?

    You know that the "help" button at the top of the screen provides all unit strengths/weaknesses, right?

    Immortals and Stalkers together will counter Thors very effectively. Send the Immortals in first, letting them take the brunt of the Thors' attacks and remain largely unscathed due to their shield. Then Blink in the Stalkers behind the Immortals and focus fire the Thors (Stalkers gain an attack bonus against armored units like the Thor). Blink your Stalkers out of range if the Thors focus fire back (use Blink right when the Stalker's shields are depleted).

    Bring along a Sentry or three and use Hallucinations to absorb some of the damage (send in Hallucinated Immortals with your first wave).

    A well micro'ed surround with Zealots and/or DTs will work wonders for you too.

    Phoenix's Grav Beam won't work against Thors (because they are "large") so don't bother trying.

    I just played my first game in practice league and god DAMN was it slow. I left after about 20 minutes cos nothing was happening. I probably should have massed a tonne of shit but tbh I just couldn't be bothered. I think 2v2's and upwards are where it's going to be at for me.

    Practice league games are slowed down (literally). As in the game runs in slow motion. Skip the league and play a real game.

    yeah, people got pretty angry at them for not putting that in, so they said it will be implemented in the first or second patch.

    I'm not calling these patches, each fixed like one bug or something. By patch I mean a content patch or at least a balance patch.
