I've been calling out unnecessary threads since Caz started spamming them months and months back.

I suppose the "thread for things you have nowhere else to post" would have been a good place. I mean its one link, does it need a thread? Post it in the today thread if you have to.

But really, don't make a thread for one link. Notice the lack of discussion about the link? Yeah.
