Warhams [the thread]

    You all know my previous threads that dabbled in the Games Workshop game of Warhammer, most of which ended very inconclusively, or rather didn't end at all. The reason for my trail off is the fact that I went out and bought some warhams of my own and have been busy assembling and painting them. Its still early stages at the moment, but I hope to have at least a small army ready for battle in the near future.

    What this means is when I do start playing with some friends my mate knows, I'll be able to post the battle reports here for you all to see. They should be much better too, with photos of the battle field and armies, as well as an actual opponent with which to match wits. I am collecting an army of mighty Chaos Warriors and you can be sure my heroes and regiments will be named after you guys. WCOM, to battle!


    This is a teaser picture of my army in progress. Most of the paint is still all over the place, but they are finally assembled. I'll get some better photos soon with close ups and hopefully a decent background for the models, rather than my messy desk.

    messy desk is artistic and awesome. I had great fun painting mine but never got to play with them, and now they're lying in my closet, just like my sexuality.

    I wish i had gotten into Warhammer. i spend my Paper and Pencil rpg'in days playing DnD or PnP, which is a mix of DnD, rts games, and every pirate movie you've ever seen.

    if you have the time fox it would be awesome to get some nice quality battle shots, using some lighting that isn't the camera flash, maybe with a diffuser. Would really make the battle reports even more badass.

    Just an idea :)
    also, your warhams satisfy my desires, just for cheap.

    Yeah, you got kinda owned in that battle report. Fucking FLAME WALL. Seriously, that spell is a game winner if it can't be dispelled.

    i know that game, I used to play it too. i forgot what the fuck it was called though. it was pretty popular for awhile, at least where i lived. i know the base of the units rotated so that way 3 numbers would show up, attack/defense/movement and when you were damaged you'd turn it so that your number would go down. or something. i dont fucking remember dude

    Hero Quest is like a very simplified version of a Dungeons and Dragons dungeon crawl with miniatures
    one person plays the DM and then upto 4 people can play the characters- Barbarian, Dwarf, Elf and Mage

    My brother got heroscape for christmas a few years ago and we played a game. it was pretty cool, but the pieces were boring and at some point it seemed like a fancy rock paper scissors. not that i've got anything against rps; im so pro at it.

    Edit: Dunwich, you should buy heroscape. Its like $30-$20 in the states for the beginning kits. So you have everything you need for hours of reoccurring gameplay.
