Since I got these CD decks, I've spent long hours trolling beatport looking for hot trax. I've also got a couple of people to burn me compilations. Now I'm making this thread for sharing your favourite DJ fodder. We have spontaneous spurts of music sharing in other threads, but if you find something sick that doesn't belong anywhere else, put it in here. Release date and genre doesn't matter. Popularity doesn't matter. Fuck it, it doesn't necessarily need to be DJ fodder. It's just gotta be good.

    I'll start with a couple.

Cheesy lyrics aren't cheesy in certain contexts:

Love tech house. It's gotta be loud for you to understand how awesome the drop is:

Dark, psychedelic techno. Close your eyes and trip ballz:

I can't listen to any of that stuff you posted, at least not while sober.

Not that it's terrible stuff, but it just ain't my thang.

Speaking of that guy, I liked this one the most.

I used to think most dance music was generic and cheesy, but now I love it even when I'm sitting at my computer. I find it needs to be pretty loud and probably coming from good headphones. Though I understand where you're coming from.

not so much a fan of the song as the beats. gotta see if there's another song with that beat. the original Tupac song has the same beat but with bass isn't as heavy.

Today I learned about the weirdest super group ever...Tinted Windows. James Iha(Smashing Pumpkins), Adam Schlesinger(Fountains of Wayne), Bun E Carlos(Cheap Trick), and, wait for it, Taylor Hanson (Hanson?!).

Most of the songs are power-pop and meh, but there's one called "Back With You" that sounds like a Pumpkins b-side and its kinda cool.

I like the jungly/ethnic feel to it. I've been mixing with Bolingo Grigo too, but it seems like you've found a good context for it.

Hopefully I'll get some recording device soon. Then it'll just be a matter of mixing fifteen plus tracks together without fucking up.

I play tracks on 200s which go through a cheap American Audio mixer. I didn't know one could record directly into a laptop. There is "master record out" on the back so it's probably possible. Now I just need some cables I guess.

that will definitely work. you probably need the component stereo to 1/8 inch headphone jack cable. i think i have like a dozen of them laying around

That is a sick beat. I've heard it in a Glass Candy track, but apparently the original is way better.

How can you be listening to like 100 bands lately? I get stuck around five or six.

I do enjoy a lot of those, though. Apart from the metal and The Doors.

I like all sorts of music, but I worry I don't have enough obscure bands with 1 half-decent song on my IPod.

Listening to this album (My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts, Eno/Byrne) alot lately, sounds much much better on the album.

I usually listen to video games and movies OSTs, specifically composers such as Jeremy Soule, Jason Hayes, Joe Hisaishy, Koh Otani, Lind Erebros, Matt Uelmen.
Also I listen to classic rock/metal bands that you all probably already know such as Scorpions, Black Sabbath, ACDC.

Bonobo's new album was either released early or it leeked. Either way, it's probably something to be excited about. I'm downloading now from demonoid, but I'm sure there's a rapidshare or mediafire or something.

Music leaks are all over the place these days. I don't know whether to rejoice or feel bad for the musicians.
Speaking of leak, the new Gorillaz Album is wonderful!

This band is one of my favs. Didn't realize they were all so young until I youtubed them just now. Thought they were all like 40s and 50s.

Last one here is a song called Voodoo Cowboy. Only way I could find it was entrapped within a WoW video -_-
