what do americans have for gravy? I'm pretty sure it's not the same as the correct gravy we have.

So steak bake is a mince pie, but more fluffy?

What do all of you usually have for breakfast? I've been finding myself rushing out of the house in the morning, only to find I don't have an appetite for anything people sell at 7-8am.

no mince pies are sweet, dried fruit and such.

in the morning I can't usually eat anything, I've got a 30 minute walk to the train station and if I eat anything I feel sick, I do smoke about 3 fags though.

i have the following in about 3 hour intervals:

breakfast of some chicken and maybe rice
    banana with juice
lunch of chicken breast (boneless, chopped up) with raw spinach (a big handful worth)
    protein shake
dinner of some meat and maybe roti (flour)
    protein shake

EDIT: so, zulu, you like fags eh? somehow, i'm not surprised.

"mince pies" are definitely meat here. I'm not sure what we called the ones with dried fruit. Christmas pies/tarts maybe. Mince+cheese pies or steak+cheese pies are a kiwi classic. So bad for you but so good for you.

TMP eats chicken and rice for breakfast? That sounds horrendous.

I don't know why no shops sell cereal for breakfast. Come in and take a seat, choose from our range of over 10 cereals!

Lol I was thinking that sounded good TMP.

I eat bagels and cream cheese, oatmeal, or cereal if I'm being lazy.

When I was training for the marathon it'd be eggs in the morning if I wasn't running right away or a peanut butter sandwich and a protein shake if I was.

Monday-Friday cereal with almond milk is my breakfast. Saturday I have eggs and some toast. Sunday I have pancakes, bacon and toast.

Going to try to eat eggs more often.

In a rush I have cereal, cereal bar, or some other quick grab breakfast food. In a real rush I just down a glass of milk.

If I have time, though, I'll fry up some potatoes with eggs and bacon, or make some pancakes.

I don't eat breakfast.  I just drink lots of coffee.  It's better that way.

I'm rock climbing 3-4 times a week (or as much as my fingers will allow), I should probably incorporate some cardio but as far as my muscle goals I think rock climbing is perfect.  It tones your arms and core very well, I don't want to be huge, just in shape

I've been reading the Zyzz Bodybuilding Bible.  Even though the guy was a bit of a joke in the online bodybuilding community, he was in decent shape and I'm interested in his workout/dieting advice.

There's a section in the middle about lifting for strength vs lifting to grow muscle that I found intriguing.  Might lead to me making some changes in my routine.

Yes, and protein bars on alternating days. I've always have a fast metabolism, so gaining weight has always been a challenge for me.

I did some squats today for the first time since high school.  I then went to valet and forgot how to use my legs, which seemed to be made of jello.  Dreading how they will feel tomorrow.

Plus side, squats were part of me getting swole as fuck today, which i have been doing on the regular since I started posting in this thread again.  Squats, military press, bent-over row, 21's, chin ups, shrugs.

Guaranteed the tattooed cat-on-the-back push up chick is a stripper.

^You should go for it, I miss doing long distance running a lot.  Unfortunately its a bit counterproductive toward putting on muscle mass, but I'd like to get back into it sometime.

For my workout yesterday I tried to incorporate longer negative motions into my reps while slightly decreasing the weight I normally do.  I think its working because today I have DOMS in my triceps, which hasn't happened for something like a year.

Yeah I'm not too concerned about muscle mass, I just want to be healthy.  The most important thing is for it to be fun/easy enough for me to do regularly so I don't slack off.

Did a weird sort of bar curl yesterday- used my long bar with weights at either end, one end on the floor, one end in one hand. Did a sort of arm-wrestle curved raise with it and now a whole new section of bicep has appeared in both arms.

I will be doing this more.

I went up 5 pounds from 135 to 140 for the month of January. I stuck with my new years resolution of working out 5 times a week for the first month, oh yeah.

Not bad shoshone!  I've found one armed dumbbell rows and wide-grip pull-ups do wonders for lats.  Once they're built up it makes squatting heavier weights easier too, with more muscle to cushion the bar.

i dunno how you're able to move our elbows out like that. looks very unconfortable. but that bar does wide grip pullups which are awesome for lats. i also do bent over row with barbell too. however, due to my genetics i guess, i notice the size coming in the top portion of the lats and not so much the outside.

I'm wondering how effective this whole negative rep routine I'm doing now is, because I feel like its just making me weaker.  I can't judge it visually either because my standards for myself are too skewed.  I've put on 2-3 pounds so I'm hoping for the best.

Tonight while I was doing cardio there was this 40 something black guy near me on a treadmill.  Every few steps he would clap or do some Billy Blanks tai-bo move with his hands.  It took all I had to stifle my laughter.
